On 27 September 2023, our colleagues Kristīne Viļķina and Artis Kromanis commenced participation in a recently initiated program on the European Patent Litigation Certificate (EPLC). This course is facilitated through a collaborative effort between ERA and Maastricht University.

Our partners Kristīne Viļķina and Artis Kromanis started studying in this course to gain a legal and practical training and necessary procedural and legal tools to appear before the Unified Patent Court.

The EPLC is designed specifically for European patent attorneys in light of the particular needs of the profession. The course is also open to lawyers in private practice and other groups who need a training on the Unified Patent Court and the Unitary Patent legal framework. The EPLC will end on 17 May 2024 with a written and oral examination.
